Beim Welttag der genitalen Selbstbestimmung am 7. Mai 2016 haben in verschiedenen Städten rund um die Welt mehrere Veranstaltungen stattgefunden:
Film Series: Fourth Worldwide Day of Genital Autonomy

Genital Autonomy America (GAA) is proud to sponsor a film series in recognition of the Fourth Worldwide Day of Genital Autonomy. GAA advocates for the protection of ALL children (male, female and intersex) from non-therapeutic genital cutting practices that violate their basic human rights to bodily integrity and self-determination.
Films to be screened with their producers in attendance, followed by Q&A and discussion:
Sat May 7, 1pm: Whose Body, Whose Rights?
Examines the negative health and human rights impact of infant male circumcision - Presenter: Tim Hammond
Sat May 7, 3pm: Intersexion
A revealing look at gender-conforming genital surgeries on those born with ambiguous genitalia - Presenter: to be determined
Sun May 8, 1pm: Cut: Slicing through the Myths of Circumcision
An Orthodox Jewish filmmaker questions both the American social custom and the Jewish ritual of infant male circumcision - Presenter: Eliyahu Ungar-Sargon
Sun May 8, 3pm: Fire Eyes
Somali-born filmmaker recounts her experience with female circumcision - Presenter: Soraya Mire
NYC Intactivists will hold a peaceful demonstration in Union Square to raise awareness of the damage caused by forced genital cutting and the human right to genital integrity. This event coincides with Worldwide Day of Genital Autonomy.

Bay Area Intactivists: Worldwide Day of Genital Autonomy Demonstration
Bay Area Intactivists will hold a peaceful demonstration on the Embarcadero side of the San Francisco Ferry Building to raise awareness of the damage caused by forced genital cutting and the human right to genital integrity. This event will take place in conjunction with the 2016 Worldwide Day of Genital Autonomy. We will provide protest signs and literature to distribute to the public but you are also welcome to bring your own.
